孟买强奸案比去年增加49%
MUMBAI: Crimes against women are on a scary spiral in the city. Rape cases surged 49% in 2014-15 as against the previous year, and instances of molestation were up 39%, shows a white paper released by NGO Praja on Tuesday. In four years since 2010-11, the city has seen reported rape cases jump 290% and molestation cases rise 247%.
NGO组织Praja于周二发布的一份白皮书显示，孟买发生的针对女性的暴力在可怕的螺旋上升，2014-15年度比前一年发生的强奸案增加了49%，而骚扰案增加了39%。

It is a shame on us to publish this as if it is an achievement. What is the government is doing? Government is silent on this and all the rape criminals are not punished. Sadly, Mumbai is becoming Rape City. Worst part is more & more cases of juvenile involved in rape is increasing I believe that is mainly due to improper punishment in case of Nirbhay rape case. If all accused have being given capital punishment it would have given strong warning to all such sick minded people. Also, age limit should be changed to 13-14 in case of such cases from 18.

In my view there many reason for the same. Looking onto the current social activities in mumbai. People are frustated bcoz of speedy life pattern. They have less time left for family and guiding the kids for dos and dont. People who only visit mumbai for job are left out with no sexual entertainment factor. Also some who controls would be a genuine human being. But the one who is unable to control sexual urge leads to attack opposite sex and gains to attempt rape on other. Best way to reduce is to allow and promote legal prostitution center where these so called culprits can achieve their desire leaving innocent safe. Second method is to have strict rape laws that sets an example for the person who wish to commit the crime of rape. SC should seriously think about it before it is late and heinious crimes are committed
