A large group of battleground state lawmakers were briefed about election fraud allegations by members of President Trump's inner circle on Saturday.
The meeting, held via Zoom, was announced by White House trade adviser Peter Navarro, who told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro on her Saturday evening show that he was part of a six-person team who briefed "hundreds and hundreds" of legislators from Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
"We gave them the receipts," Navarro said. "We explained exactly how the Democrat Party as a matter of strategy stole this election from Donald J. Trump."
Other participants included former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the leader of Trump's legal team, and economist John R. Lott Jr., who released a study last week that suggests there were 289,000 “excess” votes for President-elect Joe Biden in states his victory over Trump was small, and that differences in votes by neighbors were “suspicious.” 6park.com
State legislatures have become venues for Trump and his allies to present what they say is evidence of fraud being ignored by the courts. Some, like Republicans in Arizona, are fighting to quickly audit the election in a blitz to head off Biden being inaugurated later this month.
"These legislators — they are hot. They are angry. They want action," Navarro said.
Navarro has been very involved in boosting Trump's efforts to contest Biden's victory, publishing his own report about alleged voting irregularities in the 2020 election. He said a new report, which he dubbed The Art of the Steal, will be released on Monday and "shows beyond a shadow of a doubt this election was stolen. The Democrats used a lot of legal means to get to an illegal end."

A delegation of Republican senators, led by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, announced on Saturday they are demanding the appointment of an “electoral commission” with full investigatory authority to carry out a 10-day emergency audit of the Nov. 3 election results in the states where Trump and his allies have alleged fraud.
Vice President Mike Pence, who is expected to preside over the Electoral College certification proceedings as president of the Senate, signaled on Saturday that he "welcomes" their effort to "bring forward evidence" of voter fraud and irregularities.
Federal and state officials have defended the integrity of the election and stress there is no evidence of widespread fraud. And Democrats, joined by some Republicans, have been quick to dismiss any and all efforts to challenge Biden's victory. "Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be President and Vice President of the United States in 18 days," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat, said in a terse tweet in response to Cruz's letter Saturday.
Meanwhile an appeals court upheld a judge's decision to dismiss Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert's lawsuit, another last-ditch attempt to overturn the 2020 election outcome, seeking to force Pence to decide the results.
Navarro said he "would not be surprised" if a special counsel was appointed to investigate election fraud. He also suggested that the inauguration could be delayed, although Section 1 of the 20th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states: "The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin." 6park.com
